RDP FIDO for Linux - third-party components
===========================================

The Linux packages contain, besides RDP FIDO's own code:

* OpenSSL 3 (Apache License 2.0), linked statically into every binary.

* libfido2 1.15 (BSD 2-Clause), /usr/lib/rdpfido/libfido2.so.1, loaded by
  the client only when the distribution has no libfido2 of its own.

* Opus 1.5.2 (BSD 3-Clause), compiled into rdpfido-stream-host and
  rdpfido-viewer (FIDO Stream audio). Licence: see THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt
  of the Windows distribution, or https://opus-codec.org/license/.

* OpenH264 2.4.1 (BSD 2-Clause, Copyright (c) 2013, Cisco Systems), compiled
  from source into rdpfido-stream-host (FIDO Stream video encoder). The
  licence text is in openh264-LICENSE next to this file. The package does
  not include Cisco's binary OpenH264 module; H.264 patent licensing for a
  deployment is the deployer's matter, as with any H.264 encoder.

* FFmpeg 6.1.2 (GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1 or later), the
  decode-only libraries /usr/lib/rdpfido/libavcodec-rdpfido.so.60 and
  libavutil-rdpfido.so.58, used by rdpfido-viewer through dynamic linking.
  They were built from the unmodified release tarball

      --enable-decoder=h264,hevc --enable-parser=h264,hevc --enable-pthreads

  You may replace these two libraries with your own build of the same
  FFmpeg major version (same configure line, suffix "-rdpfido") - the
  viewer loads whatever is at that path. The licence text is in
  FFmpeg-COPYING.LGPLv2.1 next to this file; the corresponding source is the
  tarball above, and on request we send it to you on a physical medium for
  no more than the cost of doing so (support@new-imobile.com).

* SDL 2 (zlib licence) is not shipped: the viewer uses the distribution's
  libSDL2-2.0.so.0.
