What it does

Calendar by stylist
Click a free slot to book, drag to move. Each stylist's shifts, lunch breaks and blocked hours are visible at a glance.
Clients and stylists
A new client takes a few seconds and is found by surname or phone. Each stylist has their own services with durations, a shift schedule and a commission on services.
Several services in one booking
The total and the end time are calculated for you. If the stylist is busy or at lunch, the app shows the free slots of that day.
Visit and product sales
Create the visit and the receipt already holds the services and the supplies by norms. A cream or a shampoo is sold right there: the From stock button puts it on the receipt at the sale price.
Stock and usage norms
Receipts from suppliers, stock levels in units and money. Each service has a supply usage norm, and posting the visit writes the supplies off the stock automatically.
Payments and the cash desk
Cash goes to the till, card and transfer go to the bank account. The day at the cash desk: opening balance, money in, money out, what should be in the till. Cash withdrawals go to the bank, to the owner or to expenses.
Till count at the end of the day
Count the money, enter the amount and the difference shows up at once. Count and close the day, and the count is recorded in the log.
Stylist pay
Posting a visit accrues the stylist's commission. Reports on stylists, supply usage and stock are built into the app.

Questions and answers
Do I need to install anything?
No. Formata Salon runs in the browser, nothing is installed on workstations. The app itself is hosted on your server or in a private cloud, so client data stays with you.
How are supplies written off?
By usage norms: each service says how much of which supply it takes. When a visit is posted, the supplies are written off the stock automatically, and products sold leave the stock at the sale price.
How is a stylist's pay calculated?
The stylist's card sets a commission on services. Posting a visit accrues the stylist's commission, and the totals are in the report by stylist.
Which payment methods are there?
Cash, card and transfer. Cash goes to the salon's till, card and transfer go to the bank account. A payment can be taken in parts.
Does the app print fiscal receipts?
The cash desk in Formata Salon keeps track of the salon's money: payments, withdrawals and till counts. Fiscal receipts are printed by your certified cash register; connecting it is discussed during implementation.
Can I move clients over from another app?
Yes. The client base, the price list and stock levels can be loaded with a bulk import.
Can it be adapted to us?
